1960s Terms: 1964 US presidential election

1964 US presidential election:
The United States election of 1964 was the sixth most lopsided election in the history of the United States. Lyndon B. Johnson became president after JFK's death and then ran for re-election.  He got 44 out of 50 states to vote for him. Ever since, there has not been such a large percentage of votes leaning to one candidate. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_1964]
